Mr. Phill Kosta
I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, as the oldest of five children. Being the oldest meant I was only the cutest for so long, so I turned to the performing arts to claim my share of attention. This gave birth to my love of music. In high school, I provided music for Masses and retreats at my local parish and Catholic high school, and eventually I started playing retreats and worship services every couple months. After I graduated high school in 2012, I spent a year in college studying music before returning home to turn my music ministry into a full-time gig. While that didn't work out exactly like I'd hoped, it led me to Columbia, Missouri, where I took a full-time job youth ministry position –and where I finally realized the cute red-headed girl from my high school days, Laura Cole, would one day be my wife.
Laura and I got married in May 2016 and had our adorable daughter Lucy the following February. We both love Cook Out milkshakes, celebrating the memorials, feasts, and solemnities in the Church calendar, and singing together along to the car stereo. We both served as Totus Tuus missionaries for the Diocese of Charlotte a few years ago and fell in love with the state of North Carolina. We are so thrilled to be back and to be a part of the St. Pius X parish community.
