Deacon Bill was born in N.J on June 23, 1945 and raised on eastern L.I., NY. He is married to his wife Ann for 46 + years and they have been graced with 8 children (5 biological births and 3 adoptive). Deacon Bill studied at the Immaculate Conception Seminary @ Lloyd Harbor, NY for Diaconate Formation from 1976 through 1983 and was ordained to the Diaconate on June 9th, 1979 for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, N.Y. Deacon Bill came to the Diocese of Charlotte in 1990 and was assigned to St. Paul the Apostle, Greensboro until his 25th year as a Deacon and where upon in 2004 he was assigned to St. Pius Tenth. Deacon Bill has been involved in the following ministries over his service time for both the Diocese of Charlotte and the Diocese of Rockville, Centre; Baptismal Programs; Pre-Cana Formation; RCIA Formation team; ministry to the sick and dying; Funerals; Faith Formation; Adult Faith Formation (Coffee Talk) Prayer groups; currently for the Diocese of Charlotte, Archdiocese of Newark, Diocese of Austin, TX, as a Marriage Tribunal Advocate; active 3rd & 4th degree Knight of Columbus; assists in the Diaconate Formation Program for the Diocese of Charlotte. In addition Deacon Bill and Ann have been involved in previous years with; Marriage Encounter; Charismatic Prayer groups and Cursillio.
Deacon Bill comes from a career background that included service in the US Air Force, Retail Sales and ultimately Professional Law Enforcement - Suffolk County Police, NY (1968 - 1990 retired) and Superintendent of Airport Operations, Piedmont Triad Airport Authority - Greensboro (1991 -2007 retired).
