How old does my child have to be?

Due to high interest levels, we are able to take children ages 4-6 at this time.

What happens during Mass and CLOW?

Immediately after the Homily, Monsignor will invite the children participating in CLOW to come forward and approach the Altar.  He will say a few words to the children and select one of them to help carry out the Gospel.  The children will then be led by our adult leaders and teen helpers into the choir room in the back of the church.  There they will participate in an age-appropriate lesson and activity for the duration of the Homily.  When the Homily is over, the children will be ushered back into the Sanctuary to rejoin their families at Mass.

If you have questions about the Children's Liturgy of the Word, want to learn more, or would like to help with this ministry, please contact Lindsay Sartorio at the parish office.

ST. PIUS X PARISH NURSERY
St. Pius X Greensboro Nursery

Our nursery is normally available during the 5:00 pm Vigil, and 9:00 am and 11:30 am Sunday Masses.

The nursery is run by a staff member, parents, and teen volunteers. Anyone over the age of 18 is required to complete Protecting God's Children, our touching safety certification through the Diocese of Charlotte, and pass a background check.

The nursery serves ages 6 months - 4 years.  If you are interested in utilizing the nursery for your child, please arrive about a few minutes early to check them in and get settled before Mass begins. If you use the nursery regularly, we ask that you consider volunteering to assist our staff member about once every few months.  We are required to maintain an adult:child ratio of 1:7.
