I was born in Warren, Ohio and raised in Naples, Florida. After beginning college at the University of Florida, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I hold a professional teaching license, and I am currently enrolled in a graduate program to obtain my Master of Catechetics degree from the Catholic University of America. Prior to joining the staff at St. Pius as the Director of Formational Ministries, I was a high school English teacher at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Kernersville. Go Villains!
I met my husband, Rick, while living in Florida, and we now have four children together – Isaac, Joseph, Grace, and Eve. We also have a dog named Max and a cat named Leo. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, swimming, fishing, or watching a good movie.
I was Baptized and Confirmed in the Eastern Rite of the Catholic Church when I was an infant at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren, Ohio. I made my First Holy Communion at St. William’s Roman Catholic Church in Naples, Florida, and have been a member of St. Pius the Tenth since moving to Greensboro in 2007. I have been involved in many aspects of community life at St. Pius, both through the parish and the school. I enjoy volunteering my time to help with fundraisers and events and I have served the parish for the past several years as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Minister of the Word, and as one of the editors of our parish newsletter, Echoes.
