Team Contact Information

The document below has contact information for each of our team members. Please feel free to contact any of us with questions or concerns at any time.

Your sponsors are also a great resource for you during this time, and I would like to encourage each of you to continue to pray and read Scripture and consult your Catechism as much as possible. If you haven't read Monsignor's Echoes article, think of this Lenten season as a time to adjust your priorities and re-focus your faith life. I will pray for each of you every day and I will be in touch as much as possible over the next couple of weeks.

A Message for You ...

I realize all that is going on right now is "less than ideal" for the class we have been working through all year. I am so proud of each one of you and we will all get through this together. I hope you all stay well and stay connected. Please keep up with your work and let me know at ANY time if you need anything or have any questions.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is currently not being offered at St. Pius X. Please email me if you would like help finding an alternative parish to visit.

March 19 Class - The Creed & St. Joseph

The CREED is the Profession of Faith that you are stating your belief in when you join the Catholic Church.

Please review the document slides and use your Bibles and Catechisms as necessary to look up any of the relevant information. This was designed by Martha and Christy and explains what a Creed is, when/why we say it at Mass, and what it means. There is also a video link here for a Scott Hahn talk about the Creed called "Treasure of Our Soul," from a Defending the Faith Steubenville Conference. It talks about the Apostles Creed a lot and I his words really resonate with me personally, and I think you will find them helpful, too.

Also, today is the feast day of St. Joseph, and our diocese is celebrating the Year of St. Joseph. If you can attend Daily Mass today at 5:15 pm in the church, we would love to see you there. Just remember to spread out!  Here is a link with a lot of information about St. Joseph, and a short video about him. He is a wonderful saint, and a model for us all by his dedication to his family, his work, and his faith. If you're looking for a patron saint, he's definitely one to consider.

Paperwork - SUPER Important!

Many of you still have not turned in your paperwork for different things. This MUST be done before Holy Week or you will not be Confirmed in the Church - NO exceptions.  I am going to send out individual emails this weekend with what you are missing, but you should all know at this point.

Catechumens (seeking Baptism, Confirmation, & Eucharist)

*need a sponsor form and patron saint

Candidates (seeking Confirmation & Eucharist)

*need a sponsor form, baptismal certificate, and patron saint

Email me your patron saints as soon as you have them chosen! If you need help picking one, please let me know!

April 9, 10, 11 - Easter Triduum

As of now, all liturgies are suspended until Holy Thursday (April 9). There is a chance that will be extended through Easter, but we may not have word about that yet for a couple of weeks. The minute I know what is going on, you all will be the first to know. If the liturgies are happening as scheduled, you will need to be at the church on:

Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 pm for the Mass of the Lord's Supper

Friday, April 10 at 7:00 pm for Veneration of the Cross

Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 am for Easter Vigil Practice

Saturday, April 11 at 8:00 pm for the Easter Vigil

*Sponsors are welcome to attend all of these events, but MUST be present for the practice and Vigil Mass on April 11.

March 26 Class - The Our Father

The OUR FATHER is one of the foundational prayers of our faith, and can be found referenced in Scripture in the Gospel of Matthew 6:5-15.

Please review the document and use your Bibles and Catechisms as necessary to look up any of the relevant information. This was designed by Deacon Bob and Regina Morris. There is also a video link here for a Scott Hahn talk about the the Our Father, which might also be helpful to you.

March 25 was the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, and this commemorates the Angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her that she would bear a son. You can read more about this special day here:

April 2 Class - The Fourth Cup

We are tentatively planning on trying to meet this week. We will utilize the main hall and spread out as much as possible. However, this is subject to change.
