BECOMING CATHOLIC

THE ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (OCIA)

OCIA is the process for those who seek full initiation into the Catholic Church. Anyone who is interested in the Catholic faith may enter the inquiry process at any time. Children and adolescents prepare for full initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) with a children’s catechumenate team. Sacraments for those in OCIA are typically celebrated at the Easter Vigil each spring.

INQUIRY SESSIONS

We hold several inquiry sessions over the summer for interested parties to learn about the process and ask questions. If you are interested in learning more once classes begin in September, please contact the parish office.

2026-2027 OCIA SESSIONS

Classes will meet from early September of 2026 through April of 2027. These classes are for those who wish to be Baptized or Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at Easter 2027. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings every week in the parish center. There is no remote or online option for preparation.

REGISTRATION & FEES

There is a $50 materials fee for OCIA. Please contact the parish if you would like to register.
